Komiza Tonight

July 5

We missed you all on the 4th!

Thinking of you.

Twenty steps from our door, where we swam today. Clean, crystal clear water. Crazy.
A little soccer before dinner. This is our street. They are playing in front of our door. We have a narrow 5-story place that is older than the US. Over Aidan’s shoulder is the little beach from the earlier photo.

A few restaurants mixed in with homes and boats. Today apparently begins Sail Week, Croatia and boy will this little town feel different. Sailing teams from all over have been walking around the village in their team shirts or even costumes. I use that term loosely – a leopard thong is not necessarily a costume but nor is it necessarily a crew uniform.
The number of kitties and small and medium sized dogs is surprising. The cats are all fed. The dogs are quiet and very well behaved. Watch for blogging from Piper and Graham to this effect.
Dedicated and very caring!

View out the window of the flat!

love to you all,

julie and taylor, aidan, piper, ian, and graham

  1. Playing soccer in an alley in Croatia…hanging with the sailors…the color of the water…it’s unreal.

  2. Oh what an adventure! Such blue water and old buildings. It looks like a place out of another time. We found you on Google Earth…we’re waving at you.
